
Administration: The Administration Committee develops and administers operations, facilities planning and management, and develops personnel policies and procedures.
Choir: The choir provides the congregation with the gift of music at our Sunday worship services. The choir also prepares special programs and presentations to complement Sunday worship.
Communications: The Communications Committee is responsible for all church communications including the Sunday Bulletin, the church newsletter, The Liberator, church advertising, and the church directory. This committee also manages the Liberation UCC mailing list and handles public relations for the church.
Deacons: The deacons work in close cooperation with the pastors to facilitate the ministry of service in our church. Everyone in some way needs the ministry of the church. Deacons develop sensitivity and skill in identifying spiritual and physical needs and discern the allocation of time, energy, and congregational resources to meet these needs in the name of Liberation United Church of Christ
Education: The Christian Education Committee creates educational opportunities for the entire congregation - children, youth, and adults. The committee develops retreats, plans for Children’s Sunday School, and offers topical discussion.
Finance: The Finance Committee is responsible for collecting and managing all contributions and pledges made to the church. This committee is also charged with creating the yearly budget and conducting stewardship drives.
Congregational Life: The Congregational Life Committee is dedicated to providing community-building events for our church family. These events provide opportunities for fellowship and fun. Events include:
In addition to these and other activities, the Congregational Life Committee organizes support for the Sunday Worship Service (Greeters, Ushers, Coffee Hour, etc.)
Peace and Social Justice The Peace and Social Justice Committee seeks to render loving service to others through inter-connectedness between persons in the Gay/Lesbian/Straight communities. Its outreach programs include involvement with the Cleveland Gay/Lesbian Community Center, Inter-Faith ministries, youth, elderly and persons living with the HIV spectrum.
